Sera emerges from the forest in early October to oversee the pumpkin harvest and shepherd in the change of seasons. Benevolent and wise, she cares for allgrowing things and ensures fertile earth for future plantings. Sera is sculpted with paperclay on a wire and bamboo armature. Other materials include textiles, wire and natural findings. Her clothing is made from hand dyed mulberry bark. The pumpkins are all individually sculpted and can be removed from her headdress. 70cms high.
