Gretchen is a village witch who so loves Halloween that she is slowly transforming into a pumpkin. She wanders her village streets on Halloween night, accompanied by her familiar, Myskia, checking on revellers and making sure that no spoilsports are handing out ‘healthy treats’ to children. Gretchen is sculpted with polymer clay on a wire and fabric armature, and hand painted with acrylic paint. She is costumes in various fabrics and findings and carries a lantern which lights up. Muskie (the bat) is sculpted from polymer clay and her staff/perch is sculpted from foam clay. 85cms high.
